The Ministry of Corporate Affairs (MCA) has refuted reports claiming that edtech giant Byju’s has been cleared of financial fraud allegations. The MCA stated that investigations under the Companies Act, 2013, are still ongoing, cautioning against drawing final conclusions at this stage. The probe was initiated following concerns raised after Byju’s auditor Deloitte Haskins & Sells exited due to delays in filing FY22 financial results. Byju’s has appointed BDO (MSKA & Associates) as its new statutory auditors for FY22.
