Nestle India reported significant success in the financial year 2023-24, selling six billion servings of Maggi noodles in India, making it the largest market globally for the brand. Despite past controversies, including a 2015 ban due to excessive lead content, Maggi has rebounded, driven by strong growth in prepared dishes and cooking aids. Nestle India also highlighted India as one of its fastest growing markets, with high double-digit growth rates. The company’s investment plans of Rs 7,500 crore by 2025 underscore its commitment to bolster operations and introduce new products, amidst increasing competition in the Indian market.
