The Serum Institute of India, world’s largest vaccine maker, gears up to launch vaccines for malaria and dengue. Repurposing Covid-19 manufacturing facilities, it aims to boost production by 2.5 billion doses. With $2 billion investment during peak Covid crisis, Serum’s total production capacity could reach 4 billion doses. CEO Adar Poonawalla highlights potential to vaccinate all of India in 3-4 months in future pandemics.
