On May 21, 2024, the National Investigation Agency (NIA) conducted searches at the residences of two doctors in Coimbatore as part of their investigation into the March 1 blast at The Rameshwaram Cafe in Bengaluru. The doctors, originally from Karnataka, have been training at a private hospital in Coimbatore for about two years. NIA officials from Bengaluru searched their homes on Periya Subbanna Gounder Street and Narayana Guru Road early in the morning, concluding by 8 a.m. The specific involvement of the doctors in the blast remains unclear as the investigation continues.
