Indian American presidential candidate Nikki Haley, gaining traction in the 2024 Republican race, has confidently stated that former President Donald Trump won’t be the party’s nominee. A recent Wall Street Journal poll placed her third in popularity, trailing Trump and Ron DeSantis, with fellow Indian American candidate Vivek Ramaswamy in fourth.
In an interview with CBS News, Haley emphasized her belief that any Republican candidate would outperform President Biden and Vice President Harris. Despite Trump’s lead in the polls, she argued that American voters wouldn’t choose a convicted criminal, but someone who could secure a general election win.
