The Indian Cabinet has approved a telecom spectrum auction across multiple bands with a base price of INR 96,317.65 crore. The auction will cover various frequency bands, and the spectrum will be offered to telecom service providers for a validity period of 20 years. Additionally, a committee chaired by the cabinet secretary will be formed to finalize a plan for re-farming certain spectrum bands, including representatives from relevant stakeholders. The auction aims to offer a total of 10,523.15 MHz, with a reserve price of INR 96,317.65 crore.
