Norges Bank, Norway’s central bank, announced the exclusion of India’s Adani Ports, U.S.-based L3Harris Technologies, and China’s Weichai Power from its Government Pension Fund Global due to ethical concerns. Adani Ports was excluded for potential human rights violations in conflict zones. Weichai Power was removed for possibly supporting arms sales to states in conflict, and L3Harris Technologies was excluded for its role in nuclear weapons development. The fund, established in 1990 to manage Norway’s oil wealth, invests globally and holds stakes in about 9,000 companies, representing nearly 1.5% of all listed shares worldwide.
