Norwegian industrial workers have secured a wage deal with employers, preventing strike action, announced the Norwegian Confederation of Trade Unions (LO). The agreement entails a 5.2% average wage increase in 2024, alongside augmented educational support. Additionally, the Parat union, representing workers planning to strike, reached a similar wage rise agreement. The deal forestalls potential disruption, as over 14,300 LO union members, including those at Aker Solutions, Adecco, Kongsberg Gruppen’s Maritime unit, and Aibel, were poised for strike action.
