State-owned Oil and Natural Gas Corporation (ONGC) plans to achieve 5 million tons of oil equivalent production in the next few years from its ongoing projects in India. The 98/2 field is expected to contribute around 4 million tons, the Daman Upside project around 1.5 million tons, and the coal bed methane (CBM) project in Jharia and Bokaro about 0.5 million tons. ONGC aims to produce 5 million metric tons of oil and equivalent from these projects over the next three years, with a total capital expenditure of approximately ₹60,000 crore. The ongoing projects are anticipated to generate a lifecycle gain of around 80 million metric tons of oil equivalent.
