India’s Oil and Natural Gas Corp (ONGC) is engaged in discussions to recommence operations in Libya and increase production in Venezuela. ONGC’s director of exploration, Sushma Rawat, mentioned that the company is in a similar pact with Libya’s National Oil Corporation. This move comes after Oil India is reportedly in talks to restart drilling in Libya, more than a decade after exiting due to political instability. Additionally, ONGC is exploring opportunities to enhance production in Venezuela, aligning with recent sanctions relief and acknowledging a deal for elections in the country.
