In anticipation of the Summer Games, Paris unveiled the Olympic rings on the Eiffel Tower, crafted from recycled French steel. The rings, each 9 meters in diameter, adorn the iconic landmark, setting the stage for the upcoming festivities. During the opening ceremony on July 26, athletes will parade along the Seine River, with volleyball matches held at the tower’s base. A temporary Eiffel Tower Stadium will host nearly 13,000 spectators, enhancing the city’s vibrant atmosphere. Notably, Olympic and Paralympic medals will contain iron from the tower. Illuminated by LED bulbs, the rings will grace the skyline until the Paralympic Games conclude on August 28.
