PepsiCo India announces a Rs 1,266 crore investment to establish a flavour manufacturing facility in Ujjain, Madhya Pradesh, marking its expansion in the country. Spread across 22 acres, the plant aims to bolster PepsiCo’s beverage production, create employment, and benefit the local economy. Construction is set to commence in 2024, with operations expected to begin in the first quarter of 2026. With support from the Madhya Pradesh government, PepsiCo aims to enhance the region’s socio-economic landscape. The facility, powered by renewable energy, aligns with PepsiCo’s sustainability goals, reducing carbon footprint by 1.9 metric tonnes per day.
