India’s High Commissioner to the UK, Vikram Doraiswami, faced disruption by pro-Khalistan activists during an event organized by the Sikh Gurudwara Committee in Glasgow, Scotland. The activists physically intimidated the local Sikh community, obstructed the planned interaction, and attempted to attack Doraiswami in his car. The disruption was linked to concerns about religious rights and events in Canada. The Indian High Commission reported the incident to the UK Foreign, Commonwealth, and Development Office and the Metropolitan Police. While condemning the disruption, it emphasized that the majority of British Sikhs are peace-loving, highlighting the need to address extremist elements within the community.
