Ramco Cements Limited, a South-based cement manufacturer, has outlined a capital expenditure of Rs 1,700 crore for the financial year 2024-25. The company nearly doubled its capital expenditure in the current fiscal year, setting it at Rs 2,000 crore, up from the initial guidance of Rs 900 crore. The December 2023 quarter saw the company spend Rs 385 crore. Ramco Cements has invested Rs 9,800 crore in capital expenditure for capacity expansions from FY19 to FY24, adding 10 MTPA of cement capacity in five years. The company aims to double clinker and cement capacities in Kolimigundla with an estimated project cost of Rs 1,250 crore. This expansion would raise the total installed capacity to 19 MTPA for clinker and 26 MTPA for cement.
