Reliance Industries (RIL) has reported a 9.3% year-on-year increase in net profit at Rs 17,265 crore for the quarter ending December (Q3FY24). The growth was supported by double-digit growth in the retail and telecom business. The oil and gas business saw a near 50% EBITDA jump. However, on a sequential basis, RIL’s net profit fell almost 1% in Q3FY24. Revenue from operations grew 3.6% YoY to Rs 2.28 lakh cores in Q3FY24. RIL’s core division, oil-to-chemical (O2C) business, reported a dip in topline and flat bottomline in Q3FY24, while Reliance Retail reported a sharp rise in net profit. Jio Platforms reported an 11.6% YoY growth in PAT to Rs 5,445 crore.
