The Andhra Pradesh Capital Region Development Authority (AP-CRDA) has initiated the acquisition of 1,575 acres in several villages for the Amaravati Government Complex (AGC), signaling a revival of the stalled capital city construction. Under the new TDP-Jana Sena Party-BJP alliance government, Amaravati’s development follows the original master plan, aiming for completion within 2½ years. Municipal Administration & Urban Development Minister P. Narayana emphasizes the government’s commitment to resuming and completing the ambitious project, recently assessed by Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu during a site visit.
