SBI Cards and Payment Services Ltd reported an 8% increase in net profit to Rs 549 crore for Q3 2023 compared to Rs 509 crore in the same period last year. The total income rose to Rs 4,742 crore from Rs 3,656 crore a year ago. However, the total operating cost increased by 23% to Rs 2,426 crore. The gross non-performing assets (NPA) increased to 2.64% from 2.22% a year ago, and net NPA rose to 0.96% from 0.80% in the previous year. The impairment losses and bad debt expenses grew to Rs 883 crore from Rs 533 crore in FY23. The capital adequacy ratio was 18.4% as of December 31, 2023, compared to 23.1% as of March 31, 2023.
