uMkhonto we Sizwe (MK) party has announced its alliance with smaller opposition parties in parliament to counter the newly-formed African National Congress (ANC) and Democratic Alliance coalition government. Despite alleging election irregularities, MK secured 14.6% of the vote and 58 seats in the National Assembly. This alliance, dubbed the “Progressive Caucus,” includes parties like the Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF) and United Democratic Movement, collectively holding nearly 30% of parliamentary seats.
