In a bid to test its colossal Starship rocket, SpaceX is gearing up for a second liftoff from South Texas. After an explosion in the initial April test, SpaceX made improvements, obtaining FAA approval for the launch. Standing at 400 feet, Starship is the world’s largest rocket, designed by Elon Musk for lunar and Martian missions. The test aims to send the rocket around the globe before safely ditching it near Hawaii. If successful, the booster will land in the Gulf of Mexico, while the spacecraft heads over the Atlantic and Pacific, eventually descending into the ocean near Hawaii at an altitude of 150 miles.
