SpiceJet is set to expand its business over the next two years, focusing on enhancing connectivity between various tourist and religious destinations, including Lakshadweep, according to Chief Ajay Singh. The airline, having recently inaugurated direct flights connecting Ayodhya with eight cities, intends to broaden its network and potentially operate seaplanes once water port infrastructure is developed. Singh envisions Ayodhya becoming a leading global tourist destination, similar to Vatican or Mecca. Additionally, SpiceJet aims to venture into the air cargo segment, considering the significant growth in demand, and plans to complete the listing process on the NSE soon.
