Tata Motors anticipates a 40-45% moderation in the growth of electric vehicle (EV) sales in India this year due to a larger existing base, according to Managing Director Shailesh Chandra. Despite the industry slowdown, Tata Motors plans to introduce four additional EV models in 2024, aiming to surpass the industry’s growth rate. Chandra mentioned that the company’s EV penetration is currently between 12-15%, with plans to achieve 25% of total sales from EVs in the next three years. The newly launched Punch.ev offers two battery options and introductory prices ranging from Rs 10.99 lakh to 14.49 lakh.
