This assurance was given by the Congress party in its election manifesto, and the government is working on the modalities. Industries and IT Minister D. Sridhar Babu affirmed the government’s commitment to implementing promises made to the people, including the proposed sustenance allowance. The issue was raised in the Legislative Affairs portfolio during discussions on the Motion of Thanks to the Governor’s address. Autorickshaw drivers had faced challenges due to the introduction of free bus facilities for women, leading to demands for compensation and financial support for affected drivers. The government is addressing these concerns while emphasizing its commitment to the welfare of all sections of society.
