The Andhra Premier League (APL) season 2, organized by the Andhra Cricket Association (ACA), has begun at the Dr. YSR ACA-VDCA Stadium in Visakhapatnam. Six teams are participating in the event, which runs from August 16 to 27. The ACA president highlighted the collaboration with the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) to identify talented cricketers at the grassroots level and create opportunities for them in the Indian Premier League (IPL) and beyond. The event aims to boost sports development in Andhra Pradesh, with various initiatives like ‘Aadudam Andhra’ helping to identify emerging talents through sporting events across the state.
