Tripura Chief Minister Manik Saha launched the Chief Minister’s Jan Arogya Yojana (CM-JAY), a universal health insurance scheme that covers 4.15 lakh families in the state. The scheme provides insurance coverage of Rs 5 lakh per family annually. It includes government employees not covered under the Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana (PM-JAY). The CM-JAY ensures cashless and free medicine for 15 days after discharge from government or private hospitals. The state aims to address healthcare needs and provide financial assistance to those who are not covered under PM-JAY.
