Tunisia and Libya have reached an agreement to share responsibility for hundreds of migrants stranded in a border area for a month. Tunisia will take charge of one group, consisting of 76 men, 42 women, and eight children, transferring them to reception centers in Tatouine and Medenine. Libya will assume responsibility for the remaining 150 migrants. The move aims to address the crisis in the border area, where racial tensions escalated following the killing of a Tunisian man in July, leading to the forced transfer of migrants by Tunisian security forces. The bilateral agreement seeks to alleviate the plight of stranded migrants.
