Unity Small Finance Bank, promoted by Centrum Financial Services Ltd., posted robust Q2 results with a net profit of Rs 137.73 crore, marking a remarkable 155% surge from the previous year’s Rs 53.97 crore. The bank’s total income increased to Rs 360.5 crore from Rs 210.46 crore in the same period last year. Notably, gross non-performing assets (NPA) dropped significantly to 5.5%, compared to 56.29% in the corresponding quarter of the previous fiscal. The bank’s net NPA also saw a decline to 0.43%, down from 5.95% in the previous year’s September quarter. Unity Bank aims to strengthen its retail presence by opening 54 additional branches in new markets during the second half of the fiscal year.
