Nitin Gadkari, the Union Minister for Road Transport and Highways, stated that Gadchiroli, a district in Maharashtra’s Vidarbha region, has the potential to become the state’s highest tax-paying district in the next five years. He emphasized the region’s potential to attract investments, citing improved infrastructure in water, power, transport, and telecommunication. Gadkari also highlighted the growth of industries in Gadchiroli and the tourism sector’s investment potential in Vidarbha, which is home to tiger reserves. He mentioned Nagpur’s emergence as an aviation hub and the manufacturing of Rafale fighter jets in the city.
