WhatsApp, owned by Meta Platforms, experienced an outage affecting thousands worldwide before services were restored. Over 24,000 users in the US were impacted, along with 5,000 on Instagram. Some Instagram issues persisted, affecting about 1,000 users. The outage also affected users in India, the UK, and Brazil. Meta has yet to comment on the incident. Last month, Facebook and Instagram faced a similar global outage. Meta’s platforms, including Threads, serve about 3.19 billion daily active users.
