Yemen’s Houthi rebels launched two cruise missiles targeting a bulk cargo carrier, M/V Verbena, in the Gulf of Aden on June 13. The ship, flagged from Palau and operated by Poland, suffered damage and fires, with one crew member severely injured. The U.S. military evacuated the injured sailor to safety. This attack is part of a series targeting vessels in solidarity with Palestinians amid Gaza conflict tensions. Recently, the Houthis also attacked another vessel, the Tutor, claiming use of drones and missiles.
