Yotta, a data center operator, aims to expand its computing capacity to 32,000 graphic processor units (GPUs) from Nvidia by March 2025, doubling its current capacity. The move comes after the company’s order for 16,000 high-powered GPUs. CEO Sunil Gupta highlights the importance of Nvidia’s advanced chips for AI development and training large language models. Yotta’s investment of $1 billion in infrastructure includes servers, networks, storage, and software. The company’s first GPU-based data center, set to go live in May 2024, targets AI processing, with bookings from enterprises already exceeding 4,000 GPUs.
