The YSR Congress Party (YSRCP) secured victory in the prestigious Tirupati (SC) Lok Sabha constituency for the third consecutive time, maintaining its winning streak since 2014. Incumbent MP Maddila Gurumoorthy retained the seat by a narrow margin against BJP’s Velagapalli Varaprasad, marking a significant electoral outcome in the abode of Lord Venkateswara. Both candidates, Gurumoorthy and Varaprasad, have previously served the constituency, adding to the electoral dynamics. Despite this victory, the YSRCP faced setbacks in Assembly seats statewide, while the BJP celebrated its national success amidst the local defeat.
