Vedanta Ltd, led by Anil Agarwal, announced plans to raise up to Rs 8,500 crore through equity shares issuance. Additionally, the company approved a dividend payout of Rs 11 per share for FY 2024-25, totaling around Rs 4,089 crore. The dividend’s record date is set for May 25. The funds raised aim to reduce standalone debt by $3 billion over three years. Vedanta also approved setting up a copper rod plant in Saudi Arabia, enhancing its global footprint and growth prospects. This investment will make Vedanta Copper International a wholly-owned subsidiary.
