Ashoksinh Jadeja, co-owner of Rajkot’s TRP game zone where a deadly fire claimed 27 lives last month, surrendered to police, raising the arrest count to ten. Jadeja, who owned the land, had been on the run since the May 25 incident. Police previously arrested five other co-owners, a manager, and four government officials linked to the facility. The fire started from welding sparks igniting thermocol sheets, quickly spreading due to lack of proper fire safety measures. The zone operated without a fire department NOC, prompting statewide closures of similar establishments and legal actions against owners.
