Instagram’s Threads, the social media platform under Meta, is preparing to introduce a feature that allows users to edit their published posts within a five-minute window, akin to its rival X (formerly Twitter). Notably, this editing option will be accessible to all Threads users, unlike X, which restricts it to premium subscribers. While the feature hasn’t been officially launched yet, Instagram’s Head, Adam Mosseri, indicated its forthcoming introduction later this year. Recent activity on the X platform suggests this impending change, including the ability to view edit history for posts. Threads has been bolstering its features since its July debut, aiming to compete with X as a platform connecting users with friends, creators, and their Instagram network.
