A fire at a coal company building in Lvliang city, northern Shanxi province, China, has resulted in 26 deaths and numerous injuries. Rescue efforts evacuated 70 individuals, with 63 others taken to the hospital. Most of the casualties were workers, as reported by local media. The fire, believed to have originated in the shower area of the building housing offices and dormitories, is now under control. The affected facility belongs to the Yongju Coal Company in a prominent coal-producing region.
