Gokaldas Exports, an apparel manufacturer, saw a 6% year-on-year decline in consolidated net profit for the March quarter, amounting to Rs 44.3 crore compared to Rs 47.2 crore last year. However, consolidated revenue surged to Rs 818 crore from Rs 530 crore in the same period. Sivaramakrishnan Ganapathi, Vice Chairman and MD, attributed the decline to pricing pressure, one-time acquisition costs, and increased statutory minimum wages. Despite challenges, the company’s focus on improving margins remains strong, supported by recent acquisitions and capacity expansion.
