Westlife Foodworld Limited, the operator of McDonaldâs restaurants, received approval from the Food Safety and Standards Authority of India (FSSAI) for the cheese used in its products. FSSAI verified the cheese as ‘100% Real Cheese,’ allowing McDonaldâs India to use the term “cheese” in its products containing cheese. This follows McDonaldâs removal of cheese from menus in Maharashtra after regulatory issues. The company affirmed its commitment to stringent food quality standards and authentic ingredients sourcing. Saurabh Kalra, MD of McDonaldâs India (W&S), welcomed FSSAI’s approval, stating that their products contain genuine cheese from trusted suppliers.
