Naam Tamilar Katchi (NTK) garnered over 32 lakh votes across 40 parliamentary constituencies in Tamil Nadu by 6.45 p.m. on June 4. Despite placing third in five constituencies and fourth in 35, its vote share is poised to exceed 8%, a slight increase from the 2021 Assembly elections. Contesting independently with gender-balanced candidates, NTK aimed to bolster its influence, although victory wasn’t anticipated. As it contemplates coalition strategies for future elections, NTK emerges as a key player, particularly for those opposing the DMK, BJP, and Congress ideologies in Tamil Nadu.
