SpiceJet, the private airline, has successfully allotted shares and warrants amounting to INR 744 Crore ($99 million) on a preferential basis in the first tranche. The Board of Directors approved the allotment of 5.55 crore equity shares to 54 subscribers and 9.33 Crore warrants, offering the option to apply for an equivalent number of equity shares, on a preferential basis to Elara India Opportunities Fund Limited and Silver Stallion Limited. The airline is set to complete another tranche of raising equity/warrants from remaining subscribers, seeking additional time to finalize the process, as approved by the shareholders.
