In the ongoing conflict in Gaza, more than 5,000 people have lost their lives, with Hamas reporting the casualty figures. The United Nations Relief and Works Agency (UNRWA) revealed that six of its workers were among the casualties, bringing the total UNRWA staff deaths since October 7 to 35. These humanitarian workers have been caught in the crossfire during the Israeli bombardment, which began in response to an attack on October 7. Nearly 590,000 displaced individuals have sought refuge in UNRWA facilities, where 12 people have been killed, and dozens of installations damaged. Aid is struggling to reach those in need, with just over 50 trucks delivering essential supplies so far, far short of the 100 needed daily.
